
Ms Kylie Ma
Piano Teacher
Kylie showed a strong musical interest from an early age and shortly after started to learn the piano at the age seven. She began to participate in piano competitions and perform in various concerts. Along the way, she has won various prizes and been invited to perform at concerts, consequently gaining extensive performance experience and developing a deeper understanding into music. To mention some highlights, she won 2nd place for the open age Sonata and the 20/21st century division, and numerous other prizes in the St. George Eisteddfod. She has also been invited to perform on numerous occasions at the Art Gallery of NSW.
Kylie studied at the Australian Institute of Music under Dr Wojciech Wiśniewski, and then under Dr Natalia Andreeva from the Conservatorium of Music, building a solid foundation for her future music development. In high school, Kylie studied HSC music 2 and Music extension with the honour of a HSC Encore Nomination. She has received the AMEB CMus with high distinction as well achieving her AMusA diploma. Kylie is now under Dr Paul Rickard-Ford at Sydney Conservatorium. She was also the recipient of the John and Dorothy Vimpani Pianoforte scholarship at Sydney Conservatorium.
From teaching piano for the past 3 years, she has developed into a passionate and caring instructor who strongly believes in the principle that understanding music stems from the love of music and hard work.
