Mr Andrew Liang
Violin teacher
Andrew Liang is a versatile string musician specialising in violin and viola, currently undertaking advanced studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of renowned violinist and pedagogue Ole Bøhn.
As a violinist, Andrew has participated in the Conservatorium Concerto Competition, performed in numerous masterclasses, and most recently took part in the 2025 FEMUSC International Music Festival in Brazil, gaining valuable international performance experience.
Alongside his violin work, Andrew is an accomplished violist with extensive chamber music experience. He was a member of the Elan Quartet, with whom he was awarded the Henderson Travellers’ Scholarship and performed in Sydney, Norway, and across Europe. In 2025, Andrew joined the Delvinian String Quartet, performing at the Sydney Opera House, one of Australia’s most prestigious concert venues.
Andrew brings a broad musical perspective to his teaching, combining technical clarity with chamber-music sensitivity and a strong emphasis on ensemble awareness, tone production, and musical communication.
